What was incredible was your dog turning back around to make sure you were coming, and then carrying on saving you when he realised you were coming.

Still the best dogs in the world, I think. I have my second long-haired German Shepherd. I noticed your younger dog was watching and learning there. Both my Shepherds are sensible, friendly, kind, loyal and trustworthy, even around toddler relatives, though I supervise anyway. They are not silly, once they are adults, if they have been raised in a loving, kind household. Thanks for sharing.

My White German Shepherd does the same thing. Was out in the lake and then showed up next to me in the water.
