He managed to live around 34 additional years after his first heart attack. That's incredible!

In 1949, my parents bought their first TV. I was 4 years old. I watched that show every day as a child. I loved it !

I disagree. This _is_ the "greatest of video". All of your videos are great, Lamont, and we appreciate your hard work.

Thanks for this Lamont! You had me cracking up going back and forth with your boxer buddy 🤣! I think he wanted to be the star of this video! Howdy Doody was a great kids show back in the day! Was just thinking that Ralph, the female carpenter on the 60s sitcom Green Acres would always say howdy doody when greeting someone. She was a riot, always getting on Oliver's nerves!

Lamont thank you so much for sharing this, it was one of my favourite shows, I loved blonde and Dagwood. I have tears in my eyes the good old days compared to today wow.

You made that dog's day. Now he's got fresh gossip for all his doggy friends that you were there. 😁

I wasn’t alive back then, so I can’t speak from experience, but it seems to me that the 1950s was a much simpler time. Good thing classic tv reruns exist for nostalgia. Thanks for sharing Lamont. Stay safe.

I think it's cool that you hang up bird feeders and try to fix broken grave stones

Just up the road from where you are is St. John in the Wilderness church. There is a part of the cemetery where Enslaved Persons are buried. They were unmarked until someone found the location of each grave and placed a cross at them. You can see them from the road. There is also the grave of a man who was killed by bushwhackers during the Civil War. Hope your enjoying the area!

Television in 1947? 🤔🤦😳 My Dad was born in '42, I'm a '62 model, and here in the R.S.A., we only got T.V. towards the end of '75! 🤦 We were, for some reason, so far behind it's just unreal! 😳
