Scrapbanking is freaking impossible.Tried out this method while being semi-fp2 player, it took me 5 hours to find 1 person who had:
1.Steam mobile authenticator enabled.
2.1 scrap.
3.Patience to wait for steam lag.
Results:0.5 scrap=0.055$

Honestly when I was new I started off my using weapons to craft metal and eventually got up to 5 ref. (I wasted 2 ref when I crafted a 1.33 ref hat from 3 ref) I just bought hats for cheap and sold some spare stranges and cosmetics lying around my backpack. I got up to 1 key. I started trading strange cosmetics and when I found someone selling a strange cute suit for 18~ ref and then sold it for 2.5 keys.
