Tai Chi Hobbyist Challenges Kickboxer In The Ring

Показать описание
We have an older Tai Chi hobbyist and a kickboxing fighter (either Sanda or Muay Thai) in a style vs style match in the ring. This is another one of those style vs style sparring sessions where the skill level is obviously very different. The more skilled fighter starts out unsure if he's allowed to use power on the unskilled fighter. He really gives the hobbyist time to experiment. What do you guys think? Let's watch and see! Talk to you in the comments!

The video in question that we analyzed disappeared from Chinese social media, but if the original uploader contacts us, we will gladly link your channel.

Taichi Master successfully blocked the kick with his face. Advance Taichi technique. The big belly is natural armor.

It’ll be funny if the kickboxer purposely takes a shot and pretends to get dazed by a Chi blast lol

It depends on context. If the old guy was saying things about how he could easily defeat him with his "dangerous" martial art(Which a lot of them that I have seen act like that), then playing around and then giving him one solid kick to the face isn't so bad. Sometimes people get put in there place.

Looking at the Tai Chi guy, it's difficult to say if he has ANY training at all.

all these "masters" will suddenly forget their skills when in the ring, and proceed to try to very poorly mimic their opponent's style. probably because of the music. these "masters" need those slow music to be able to draw out their final form

Oof! Watching this guy hurts me on a deep level. Having mastered something for years and have it be utterly useless has always been a fear of mine since I started Martial Arts as a kid. I was never sure if I avoided altercation because of my discipline or my understanding that I had no idea what to do. The few street fights I'd been in, the TKD and Karate I knew flew out the window and it became a slug fest or wrestling match. None of my training activated like they said it would when I needed it, none of it prepared me for an active attacker.

After learning a little BJJ and having it activate on its own in a street fight years after has alleviated some of the anxiety. Pressure testing against someone actively struggling to beat you really teaches you some things whether you realize it or not.

A video titled “accountant with no training challenges kickboxer “ would look exactly the same

I think the kick was within the parameters of the "fight." It looked very low-energy, more like he wanted to tap him and didn't realize that his defense was that poor and that he was that fragile. It was basically consistent with moderate intensity sparring.

Watching this video at 3x speed still feels like watching the senior citizens practicing Tai Chi at my local park in the morning.

-No need to KO an old man!- *No need to allow old men to get KO'd!* Part of showing mercy to elders is recognising their growing irrationality as they're slowly going back to the mental age of toddlers - and their spirit over estimates their ageing bodies. Responsible organisers should not sanction this at *any* level!

The kicked seemed to have no bad intention . Tai chi guy walked in to it and he also looks like he never been in a fight in his whole Pillsbury Doughboy life .... The kick boxer was just going through the motion.

Are you sure that is Tai chi? It looks more like a bad impression of drunken boxing.

When I saw the duration of the video, I already knew the result.

Thanks a lot for the video. I think that the tai chi "master" deserves tha high kick, it would be a helpful lesson for him to never let his arms down in a fight. The young guy could have knocked him out in the first seconds. Again thanks for the video.

kickboxer KNEW the taiji guy was going to get owned. It was just a light sparring session, no need to make him look dumb by doing a KO.

Old dude seems to be having difficulties moving, with unaccustomned boots/prot.

Oooh, haha that hurt. The kid didn't throw full force by any means, and I don't think he was expecting anything like that outcome. Hindsight is 20/20 but maybe he should have given old bro a couple of light head shots with his hands first (i.e. maybe he'd have then gotten a feel for how useless and fragile the old guy actually was before throwing any head kicks).

As far as I'm considered: fighting people who you know you outclass is the time to break out experimental fancy shit, especially experimental fancy shit that isn't going to hurt them too bad. Foot sweeps, spin back kicks, that sort of thing. I generally feel bad hitting people like this in the head.

The Tai Chi guy looks like he doesn't even know Tai Chi.
