Apple podcast artwork not updating

This was driving me nuts! Not being able to update my podcast artwork on apple podcast after migrating my podcast over to substack and rebranding my show was making it confusing for my audience and more than a little frustrating for me. I tried trouble shooting via Apple and Substack but got absolutely nowhere - so here's what I decided to do. This should work to solve artwork issues when regardless of which platform you've migrated from if you're getting nowhere with the support from the platform host yourself (like I was!)

Caution: If you go ahead with this solution, make sure you back up your show just in case! Also take screenshots of your analytics first, just in case this solution wipes your analytics.

I've been able to update the cover art in Apple by this, but how do I put the podcast rss on Substack? Just stop redirecting? I don't know how to get a new RSS feed for Substack after I've put in on ACast

Thanks for posting. We're dealing with exactly this and will try it. Suggestion: walk through the actual steps from importing to Acast to migrating to substack to refreshing apple podcasts. B/c the refresh gets stuck on "refreshing" for me, and I don't know if I did something wrong.

This is so tantalizing that I'm trying it. I've migrated from Substack to Buzzsprout (Acast no longer allows migration elsewhere without email correspondence). When I migrate back, should I (1) click "Stop redirecting RSS feed" at the bottom of my Substack settings, or should I (2) delete the Substack podcast and do a full migration back to Substack? If I do (1), I guess it won't work because Substack will go back to the same old feed that won't update the artwork on Apple Podcast. If I do (2), does that mean I'll have to delete my Apple Podcast podcast and start over there? If so, won't it say that the podcast is taken? Thanks!
