For one horrible moment Rob I thought that you were going to fit a smelly IC engine in this beauty, can you imagine the muck and crud that would collect everywhere ? then I realised that you were merely showing the options open to viewers, masses of cowl area where that Oberrusal goes, now here is an idea for you fit a rotary sound unit into the model, lets hear that staccato noise shown in your excellent opening pictures of the Dr.1, we have a Pratt & Whitney in a Beaver and it sounds terrific, the one we have uses the fuselage as the speaker unit and boy is it realistic, it rumbles into life with the supercharger clanking in.A good job that you detected the flaws in those attachment brackets they could have easily failed in flight, can you give a link please for the fibreglass substitute material.

Please fly the spectre! I have a ranger I want to convert similarly, although electric, and I'd love to see how yours flies.

Can you fly the Sceptre at least once so we can see how she handles, plus I want to smell the ether ! take a break from the shed and have a fly in the evening.

how come you didn't make those replacement wing mounts out of something simple like aluminum flat stock?first comment on watching this whole series, great work and really appreciate what you're doing and all.  I have both this model and the smaller 770mm version sitting waiting to be built, and when the Deperdussin Monocoque  becomes available, I think I'll get that one too.

Strange that the same holes are angled in all 4. Is it possible that it was deliberate?
