Can a strong sense of purpose really set a company apart?
Talking by videolink, AXA Chief HR Officer Karima Silvent and I discuss in this part two of our three-part conversation, how our companies are working to attract and engage workers in a fast-changing talent landscape. We both agree that we are lucky to work in an industry with a clear sense of purpose. At Swiss Re our mission is to make the world more resilient.
My discussions with current and prospective employees have convinced me that this sense of purpose really is a differentiator in the eyes of the talented people we count on to drive our business forward and Karima agrees. Using examples from our own organisations, we go on to reflect on the role of employee volunteering and fundraising in reinforcing that sense of meaning and purpose at work.
