'Deliberate and coordinated effort': GA election board member on threats to election certification

This past week, Georgia’s mostly-Republican election board approved a rule that threatens to upend how elections are certified in Georgia. “They are literally trying to force the courts to change certification into a discretionary task,” says Sarah Tindall Ghazal, the lone Democrat on the state’s election board. The new rule empowers county election board members to conduct a "reasonable inquiry" into whether election results are complete and accurate before they officially certify them.
