Hey man! Quick question, why dont you print directly from the ipad? Why bring the laptop too? I am thinking about using the Canon selphy 1500 and print directly from the ipad, but no one in youtube has done it, why? Is a bit slower, but I think it gets the job done

There are older versions of mac OS where DNP drivers will not work. Not sure about Hiti. Also, to share photos via SMS/email/instagram you're relying on cellular. Not all ipads have cellular and theres not always service at the venue. Just 2 major things you brushed over which might help someone else

It is good, but the setup doesn't look neat because you have to find a place to put your laptop and put laptop next to booth on a busy event not a good idea specially if there are kids. I recommend buying a Tenda 4G03 N300 wireless router and connecting your laptop and iPad to it. You don't need internet; it is plug-and-play, and the Wi-Fi signal is strong. I had 500+ prints in 4 hours and never dropped a single one. The setup looks neat because you can hide the laptop under the props table.
