Deploying cloud computing infrastructure closer to where the data is produced or consumed is driving a whole new class of applications that were either not possible before or have gained significant performance benefits. In this session, hear directly from AWS customers who are using near real-time access to AWS infrastructure via AWS Wavelength (cloud computing infrastructure embedded within telecommunications networks) and AWS Local Zones (cloud computing infrastructure located in major metropolitan areas) to launch new applications in various fields. These fields range from real-time gaming, video streaming, and augmented and virtual reality to autonomous vehicles, robotic manufacturing and assembly, and machine learning inference at the edge.
