Jonathan Penn compares AI to Central Park and gives some ideas of how we can collectively handle the future of AI. He recognizes that the development of AI has and will continue to raise many new challenges. However, he shows how this is the right time to develop it and he gives some guidelines.

Jonnie Penn is a New York Times Bestselling author, a Google Technology Policy Fellow, and a Rausing, Williamson and Lipton doctoral scholar studying the history and philosophy of artificial intelligence at the University of Cambridge. I've missed Jonnie and fellas from The Buried Life. Its really nice to see this Ted Talk and find out a little more about what he's been up to. And what an exciting topic! There are so many wonderful things that AI could potentially contribute to society, and I'm excited to see those kinds of things unfold in coming years. In response to Jonnie's question, I'd love to see truer human connection in the future. Technology has brought us all closer, but it also has a way of isolating people. You can sit on your phone during a lunch break at work and 'connect' with someone across the world, but what about connecting with the person right in front of you that you're sharing the table with on your lunch break? People are wired for connectivity. We're healthiest when we're connected, seen, recognized, loved, and valued. I wonder how AI could help with that? Could push us to be more human? To love better?
