I didn't enjoy SGU while it was first airing, it was just so different from SG-1 and Atlantis that I couldn't get into it.
But I gave it another shot several years later, and now it's my favorite one. Of all the show endings, SGU is by far the one I want to see more resolved.

This show was a very formative experience for me. I watched it between the ages of 10 - 11, so not only did it rewire my brain as to what sci-fi could be (more than lightsabers and pew pew lasers), but served as a lesson about closure. Sometimes, there are no answers, but I'm still glad for the experience that posed the questions.

The way they ended.... they could come back any time, lots of ways to work out aging and lost personnel. But one way or another, it needs to happen. As part of a whole new series? Probably best approach, as we've got great springboards built in all along the way.

SGU was my favorite of the SG shows. The others, I could take or leave them, I was with SG1 from the beginning then drifted away, I caught huge swathes of SG Atlantis and thought it was great, but didn't make it a point of completing the whole thing. This one, I was invested in and it made me want to go back and watch the whole saga - which I have yet to do. But it was the biggest disappointment when they canceled it

Really loved SGU, some of the fan fiction for finishing the show was pretty amazing. Disappointed that it will probably never get made and so he’ll just keep on not saying what he knows.

I was curious about the comics ending and asked the creators once and was told the comics are best regarded as fan fiction/alternate universe content and are not where the series was headed.

Eli and McKay were my all-time favorite SG characters. I wish we could being them both back and bring real closure to this show.

This was the most tragic cancellation of a series since ever. The potential, depth, acting, storyline and overall quality for the SG franchise was top notch. We will never know what became of the characters, how the story ends or the final fate of Destiny itself. Ugh... I really hate them for it. I even think this series could have recovered if only they made the Third Season. But... we can't have everything. At the very least the last episode of S2 is beautifully made [As good as a send-off of a uncomplete masterpiece can be that is...]

Lastly, I really wish we could have the same crowdfunded reccurection like "Sense8" had. It was cancelled to early and they made a movie to tie the knot at the end. I wish we could have the same for SGU. Even if it would be far from perfect. At the very least it would be something :P

I love David Blue and how he portrayed Eli.
And I love that he knows this stuff but will never tell!

Eli was such a great character, I think one of the most relatable to many fans. And Eli was just one of many complex, complicated & somewhat troubled characters that were used to tell part of an amazing story! Many of those characters were not the most likable or beautiful people; but their circumstances ended up summoning & building some of their greatest and most beautiful parts, or in some cases, their darkest parts or even breaking them.

I still mourn the loss of all of the stories that were not yet told, because I know that they are "cool as F*CK"!

And while I kind of expect that we will get a bit of closure regarding the Destiny crew, it doesn't looks like it's likely to be Brad's story: the REAL one. And it couldn't possibly contain the "cool as f*ck" sh*it (even if it were told by Brad).

I had to watch twice and came to appreciate the contrast between the first 2 series and SGU.. I really liked that it wasn't as light hearted. The conflicts seemed much more real and urgent. I'm a fan Stargate as a whole and SGU I thought was really well done. I hate that it was canceled and short. So many directions the series could have gone.
