I switched the settings when I had an HDMI adapter on my Wii, now the best I can get out of it is blue screen with audio

The HDTV(480p) option won't let me click it for some reason. How do I change that?

Edit: I figured it out the problem, the AV cables the wii came with don't actually support HD, which is dumb. So I you would like use HD, you would need to do one of 2 things. 1: buy the official nintendo component cables, these should be official because the port on the back of the wii is very unique and no other cables have that. 2. (What I recommend) Is buy the wii2hdmi, these plug right into the back or the wii and output with HDMI so I can be played in HD. The only problem is obviously that you can do this with TVs that don't have an HDMI, but most TVs now a days have them so it shouldn't be a problem. One more thing, don't buy AV to HDMI adapters cuz those won't solve the problem.
TL:DR Buy wii2HDMI, or Wii component cables but wii2HDMI is better.

Wow saved my life when I tried switching resolution back down to 480i and suddenly my hdmi adapter wouldn't display anything, had to follow the menu ordering from this and feel around blindly!
