It’s called being battery limited, so use every one you can. Please see that Jordan at the limiting factor, gets one of the 4680 battery. He is a wonderful YouTuber, who does deep engineering on all the battery materials.

I did alot of roadtripping in my Plaid X this spring. When supercharging in 80-90 degree weather Inwould notice the other Teslas' cooling fans screaming amd mine was pretty silent. I guess it is a mix of the larger radiator and different cooling.

Outstanding episode. I took delivery of 2022 MSLR in March and am I right to assume that it has the same battery configuration to the MS Plaid? I have been blown away with how efficient my new car is compared with my previous 2015 MS85D. I originally signed up for Plaid but reconfigured to LR after seeing reviews and accepting that a 0-60 of 3.1 seconds was more than enough for me and did not need the third motor to give me the faster acceleration. I love my new car!

Nice explanation of how the different battery constructions are done for specific purposes, and reminder of how to be flexible in your design- when to carry the same things over, and when to make them different. Phantastic video, thanks so much! Ordered my Model S one year ago, no idea when it will be delivered to Germany. Until now I thought, that with the 1865 cells it has the „old, outdated“ technology. Thanks to this video I have understood, that it makes sense to have the smaller cells in a high-performance car.

Looking forward to the Y teardown and finding all the differences from the original. Also will be great to have a baseline with 4680's first iteration. I don't think people understand how impressive a feat it is to move into a new industry from scratch. Battery technology is really complicated.
