Lara Croft, the fiercely independent daughter of a missing adventurer, must push herself beyond her limits when she finds herself on the island where her father disappeared.

From Warner Bros. Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures, Tomb Raider is the story that will set a young and resolute Lara Croft on a path toward becoming a global hero. The film stars Oscar winner Alicia Vikander (Ex Machina, The Danish Girl) in the lead role, under the direction of Roar Uthaug (The Wave), with Oscar-winner Graham King (The Departed) producing under his GK Films banner. The film¹s production begins on the heels of the 20th anniversary of the wildly popular videogame franchise from Square Enix, Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal.

Tomb Raider also stars Dominic West (Money Monster, 300), Walton Goggins (The Hateful Eight, Django Unchained) and Daniel Wu (AMC¹s Into the Badlands).

Who ever was in charge of marketing and also who ever edited the trailer both need to go. THIS was way better than that trailer we got. That trailer does not concept this story she is explaining. I hope Alicia and WB can prove us all skepticals wrong and not just give us a decent video game film but a much needed great video game film. Otherwise, Uncharted & The Last of Us video game "films" wont have much to prove.

It didn't look like she bulked up that much in the set photos but this really shows what she went through. I'm definitely excited to see one of my favorite actresses kick some ass in hopefully a great Video Game movie.

There are 4 types of Tomb Raider haters. First one would be the nostalgic Angelina Jolie fans who keeps on saying "No one can replace Angelina Jolie" and are completely unaware that Lara Croft has been around and is already famous since 1996. 2nd would be those people who kept on nagging about Alicia not having enough boobs and butt because that's the only thing that defines Lara Croft. They clearly didn't play the games and are only jumping the "not enough boobs" train. 3rd would be those Naughty Dog fanboys who loves bringing up Uncharted on every Tomb Raider videos because they think it's superior. (Well, although I think UC is a better game but c'mon Lara Croft's legacy has been going on for decades and the amount of influence TR has made to the video game industry is incomparable) and lastly those people who just loves hating on every thing in this world because they're a bunch of miserable, unemployed, no life individuals who craves satisfaction from spreading hate. I think this movie would be fun and exciting for us fans, if you don't like it then don't watch it that's it.
