That pink is Mamie Eisenhower pink. She brought the color with her to every home they had even the White House. She single handedly cemented that color into Americana. Durring her time in the White House it was referred to by staff as "The Pink Palace" and US Embassies around the world redecorated one bedroom pink incase they had a visit from the president and the first lady. Just a fun little history of how that color became so popular when it did.

I hope your kitchen turns out great. I subscribed to watch your progress. Just remember that things that are worth the work take time and doing it yourself takes lots of time but the end result is both wonderful and rewarding.

I would, personally, go with a lighter shade of pink instead of the black on those tiles

I wish I could do that as well but unfortunately Indian food and pastels are not a very practical combo. One haldi stain is enough to ruin it all 😢.
But just a small thing for you, this shade of pink and mint is looking a little too overwhelming, maybe swap one of the colours or maybe chose a different shade of it!

Interior designer here. While you should absolutely do what makes you happy in your home, your inspiration in this video are too thematic and might come across as kitschy/tacky in this space. I would tone it down a little bit by using 50s inspired furniture/decor but ALSO don’t fight the existing architecture. Let some of that wood stay. It’ll feel a lot more like it belongs in the house.
