Chronic Pain Network - Tackling Canada’s chronic pain: a patient-centered approach

Chronic pain affects one in five Canadians and is the most common reason to seek healthcare and miss school or work. Each year in North America, chronic pain costs $600 billion, more than heart disease, cancer or diabetes.
Founded in 2016, Canada’s Chronic Pain Network brings together patients, healthcare professionals and the government to provide direct funding to 20 research projects, integrate the latest research discoveries into care and tackle the remaining obstacles to chronic pain awareness, management and treatment.
