The silk touch is that you can now get ice and that ice turning to water in the nether is fixed.

I use the Minecraft Profile Manager so I have a profile set up with a .minecraft folder especially for snapshots. I feel I should inform people of this in case they want to check out this update.

i tried this update and i had lots of invisiable cactus in the dessert and i was in hardcore mode and died :( also starting chest dose not spawn when u turn it on :/

that's because it is no longer single player, it's a hybrid of multiplayer and singleplayer

I have a mod installed for a mod spotlight I'm about to do that makes jungle trees drop cocoa beans. It works with 12w17a. I don't remember what it's called at the moment, though.

the updates are good, but extremely laggy this time for me. cocoa means in leaves i wished for since the jungle came out. the only feature i do not like is that esc doesn't pause a single player game and that little thing is very very very critical
