They also oftentimes have a below ground entrance and because hot air rises when you go inside then down and then back up into the igloo it helps to block out the cold air

Its not made of ice its made of packed snow and the reason why it stays warm is because air is a good insulator the packed snow contains a lot fo air and doesnt allow the heat inside to escape keeping it warm inside

The walls are not ice. If they were you would freeze to death. Ice has no insulating capability. Ice is a misnomer. Snow blocks are fantastic insulators

Very neat and cool 😎, as I’ve come to learn, the igloos are basically giant thermos, the snow ❄️ acting like insulation, and as I learned recently, as shown with the teepee ⛺️, they are the temporary collapsible tents ⛺️ for the Inuit during their travels and hunting trips 😉

Actually I believe the heat causes a layer of ice to form on the inside of the igloo.

Just so you know, Eskimo is considered a slur, the people are called Inuit. This isn’t like Latinx where people just made up a word and acted like Hispanic was a slur, the Inuit actually don’t like being called Eskimo because it has nothing to do with their heritage and isn’t a word from their language.
