the basketball girls at my school were so nice, one time I was crying in the bathroom (long story) and they came in, didn't ask no questions just hugged me and told me it would be alright. I really needed it at the time. they didnt know me from adam but they dropped what they were doing until i felt better. I would trust basketball girls with my whole soul.

When I played, there was always THAT girl who just HAD to get her ears pierced right before the game. Then she makes it everyone’s problem that she’s got to wear tape because, “I can’t take them out, I just got my ears pierced!” *flips hair in your face and the coach rolls their eyes* The best part is when the mom gets involved. 😂 🤦‍♀️

i’ve been playing basketball for 7 years and these issues are always there. i’ve given up on wearing jewelry before i have practice or games. last year a senior on my team got a cartilage piercing the night before a game, she covered it with a bandaid but the ref wouldn’t let it slide so she had to take it out. after the game we had to help her re-pierce her ear in the bathroom. a mom who was a doctor ended up using her own earring bc the girls original one wouldn’t go through. finally we got it and that’s a memory i’ll have for a long time and a reminder SAVE NEW PIERCINGS FIR AFTER THE SEASON 😭 (also i am fully aware that this situation was not sanitary at all the mom tried her best to wash the earring and her hands, it was all we could rlly do at the time 💀)

the hair and jewelry is so accurate. I have been playing basketball since 6th grade and i’m now i’m high school. i don’t think i’ve ever remembered to bring hair ties or to take of jewelry.
