Always found the part as Maul was dying “He will...avenge us” sad, as he realizes that Sidious was everybody’s true enemy all along.

It really hit me when I noticed that when fives had said that the mission was over, he was talking about how he was relieved that he wouldn't be a part of order 66

The moment of realization that despite the fact that everyone fought against each other, they had the same enemy all the time.
Clones, Jedies, Maul, Dooku, Anakin, separationists, troopers and rebels died because of Sidious.

And this is why people love Star Wars. Not because of the loud flashes of battle or the epic wars in the stars...


But because of how quiet it is.
Because of how empty evil is even when it is applauded.
Because of how quiet good is when it has lost or won.
Because of a man who sought to save his life, the life he loved, and in doing so lost it.
Because of a child who sacrificed his own life, and in doing so saved everyone's.
Because of the grief of the loyal as they see their loyalty turned against them.
Because of the pointlessness of it all, yet that same pointlessness building toward the simple reunion of a father and his son.


Not because of the stars, or the wars, but because of the families that fight them.

Tell me have you ever heard the tragedy of Anakin Skywalker, the brave and heroic, an amazing Jedi who just couldn't live within the code. He put all his hopes and dreams into his wife. Only to ironically let his fears and insecurities take her away.
