I believe that curious light is actually the strongest of the 3 lights, but doesn't know how to harness it. Curious light has the barrel of starlight item, which is (arguably) the strongest item in doors. But he never does anything to help the player, because he's probably the youngest architect. He's probably an experiment in combining the powers of the previous two lights believed to have gone wrong by the celestials. He was never taught anything about him or the hotel, or anything at all, hinting about how he doesn't know anything about all this

The problem with the 3 lights being celestials is that the Crucifix says Architects marked by celestial. Marked means visible marking, celestials are most likely referring to celestial bodies meaning Architects who's visible markings are celestial bodies. Since GL (moon), CL (star) and RL (1 Armed Galaxy) all have a visible marking of a celestial object, this means they are architects

a big theory, what if curious light’s a much bigger character than we know? because in the painting near rooms, curious light’s much bigger than guiding light & red light, no matter with or without modifiers on. and also, when we try to go to the rooms with modifiers, the red light stops us, not curious, which means the red light doesn’t have enough power to modify sub-floors, so it doesn’t let us escape into sub-floors. curious light can also speed us up and give us additional health when we use its items, and also just teleport us across floors. and the word “curious” could also be viewed as “mysterious”, so with all this in mind, i feel like curious light will be revealed to be a much more bigger & powerful character later on.

(btw, some corrections & bonus thoughts:

NVCS-3000 was sort of a joke item, because lsplash didn’t think anyone would waste hours of their life walking forward, so he put that there. so it may not be canon. the new item is called barrel of starlight, the vial & bottle are from the backdoor. and the red light’s fuse appears put in into a generator only once, when we escape. so i feel like this could still foreshadow something. and also, notice how we can’t go in a different order, it has to be guiding light, curious, and red. and once again, curious’s in the middle, and the other 2 are on the opposite sides. so these generator fuses could very well still mean something. and one last thing, it seems like all the lights have powers, but they’re limited to using them, they have to have the player to do something, so they can use it. for example, for the red light to modify the hotel WE have to enable modifiers. for curious light to speed us up & give us hp, WE have to use its item. etc. so yeah, this is all pretty interesting. i hope we get an actual interaction between the red light & the player, rather than we just see it).

It's almost as if Guiding Light was motivating the player to help them. After the player dies in the Hotel or in the Mines, Guiding Light is going to say "You've made it this far! Keep going!" no matter what, while Curious Light will just tell the player to come back. Curious Light also just doesn't give any tips, he only says hints like "Try hiding in a locker this time." when the player repeatedly dies to A-60 and "It detects movement, okay?" for A-90. But most oftenly he just says something like "It's extremely hostile, you shouldn't deal with them".

I think Mischievous Light or any of the others isn't some big bad monster you need to get rid of before you escape. I think it's just there to prove yourself worthy, to see if you're good enough and challenge the player (both from a gameplay perspective and a story perspective). I think Curious Light just blurs the line between helping and challenging the player, like you mentioned how it's between Guiding Light and Mischievous Light.
And for The Rooms part, I just think the rain stopped because you walked really *really* far away... or closer to something else we can't reach yet.

I have a theory there’s a 4th light, (don’t come yelling at me in the replies this is just a theory) because of the herb of Viridis, when you click on the herb of Viridis it gives you like a green thing all around your screen just like when you take the barrel of starlight, and also I think there might be three OTHER lights making 6 in total, because at room 60 we see three chairs, (implementing guiding light curious light and mischievous light) but in the same room we can see three other chairs thrown away like in the corners or smth, like if they were just forgotten or something. Anyways this is just a theory I don’t really care if it’s true or not I just like having my own theory’s and thoughts

i have a theory regarding curious light
I think that curious light is the most important and powerful of the three architects (yes, even more powerful than mischievous light). I have 2 arguments for this theory

1) As we see in the painting before entering the rooms, we see that curious light is the biggest one in the picture and is also in the centre and the other two lights are way smaller and on the corner of the painting. Like they are orbiting curious light.

2) We know that the hotel and the mines are the realms of guiding light and that the rooms & the backdoor are the realms of curious light. When we take the crucifix or possessed candle (architect piece of guiding light) we cannot use it in the rooms, however, we can use the starlight (architect piece of curious light) in the hotel/mines. Showing that curious light has is more powerful than guiding light.

3) We know that the modifiers are probably controlled by mischievous light. We know that we can use the modifiers in the hotels and that they will also be available in the mines as it shows modifiers for this level are coming soon, indicating mischievous light is more powerful than guiding light. However, when we try to use modifiers for the backdoor, it says "modifiers for this level are disabled". Showing that mischievous light's power is less as compared to curious light as it cannot interfere it his realm

All these above things show that curious light is the most powerful celestial from the three.

I think this is a pretty good theory, “the watcher” and other entity leaks were probably scraped and so were their location, and mutated seek was also scrapped

If you look closely as seek's goop on door 200 throughout the video's background, you can occasional see red lights going across the dam which could hint to mischievous lights presence in the game. (Just a theory could be something totally different)

Tbh i thunk curious light has more to it,

A Moon dosent work without a planet from a STAR(unless the planet is alone)

Yet A galaxy(red light) csnt be one without a STAR

My theory is that there's some who went to backdoors and while exploring she felt someone coming she hid in a closet and it was a -creepy trollfa-- creepy face she called it blitz but she died later cuz she didn't know know blitz can rebound and met curious light

Sorry but that generator theory is pretty flawed. At door 200 the generator is completely filled and I have personally expereienced generators with NO fuses already in.

By the way if we are in a limbo between life and death, then an accident may caused this like in a book called "Midnight Library". In that book, character was hanging herself, then ending up in a place where she has infinite universes. But the doors is kinda different. Unlike in that book, we dont have time for experiencing those universes, but we have lives. Basically infinite lives. And maybe, we have a limited time to leave the limbo, who knows? Maybe we had a car accident or something like that, an event bring us to edge of death. And we got bringed to limbo, where the celestials giving us a chance to get back to life. Guiding Light wants us to go back, Curious Light is just wondering if we can go back, and Mischevious Light doesnt wants us to go back.

Theory: Curious light needed help in rooms. He was guiding us to the a-0000 door. He wanted to get out of the rooms and needed our help. The reason he couldnt help us much was because he didnt know everything about the entities. After we escaped, he gave us a reward. The barrel of starlight. As a thanks. Maybe he was the helper of another place. And was curious to see other places. Hes not helping us. We are helping him. After the rooms, he stayed at the backdoors as his new place. Maybe the reason he also couldnt help us in the back doors was because. He was new to the backdoors! You notice how he helps more and more after each death? He is learning! He is learning from our and also guiding light! Thats why he is so curious! But hey, its just a theory.
