Just bought one of these for my kids, the Yoshi one, but I've noticed some lag when starting to drive forward. Have anyone noticed this?

It's only like 0, 5-1 second lag but really noticeable. It seems to lag when starting from standing still or have just reversed and changing direction.

When already driving forward and letting go of the gas and then pushing forward again there is no lag. Like if it has already engaged in going forward and havent stopped it responds immediately.

Reverse always responds immediately.

*Update*
I returned the Yoshi one, thought something was wrong. Bought a Peach one instead and it has exactly the same lag as the previous one. For some reason they have implemented a lag in response when starting going forward.

Does it really go 5.6 miles per hour?
Comments online say princess peach quad does NOT go 5.6 miles per hour due to her design(not sure why princess peach quad doesn't go 5.6 miles per hour when they're all built same. Except I think Mario, Yoshi and Luigi ATV quads all take 4 AA batteries in back where princess peach only takes 1 AA rechargeable battery internally(maybe this is why they All go 5.6 miles per hour except princess peach (maybe only goes 3 miles per hour?

I wonder if you could put a stronger motor to make them go 9-10 miles per hour?

Just purchased one of these for my son, battery is all charged set it up and the controller is only moving front wheels side to side, when I press forward or back on controller the mario car just makes a noise

It's obviously not meant for speed, but you could probably have fun with that by throwing up some small obstacles for it to climb over. Some matchbox cars would be funny, monster Mario in his monster truck...
