I worked as a civilian contractor for a short while in a women’s prison. The receiving for all of our office goods was on the mens side so I’d have to work over there with the male inmates from time to time.

The thing I learned very quickly is I felt safer around the men than I did the women, why? When men get mad they take care of business right then and there. Usually a quick fight and broken up and back to business.

Women however store up their anger for days or even weeks and explode all over the first person that has their back turned. Even if that person had nothing to do with it. They really liked stealing cleaning supplies and throwing it in your eyes.

After almost getting stabbed in the eye with a “spork” I demanded reassignment from my company.

Glad they agreed as I was ready to walk out the door.

I worked as a telecom technician for my city’s prison a while back. I can say without a doubt, I felt 10x more vulnerable and uncomfortable working on the phones in women’s pods compared to the men’s. In the women’s pods, I could feel eyes on me with my back turned, my back is to the entire pod population while fixing wall phones. Violence is super telegraphed in men’s pods, shouting, slamming things, throwing things, etc. In the women’s pods, it’s quiet with some small conversations and suddenly there’s 4 girls fighting 15 ft from you and one of them has a shank.

I’ve thought about this concept a lot. I’ve been in situations with women where I said no, but before I knew it, they got their way regardless. This isn’t a commentary on how devious women are, but how powerful. Pleasure can be just as overwhelming and potent as pain and they don’t even have to touch you to inflict it.

I am law student and when we were taken to a jail/ prison for prison tour and we were strictly told to not to talk to any prisoners when asked why they told us once a student asked a female prisoner why she was here and she replied should i tell you or show you and she was convicted for murder charges
