Temporary Housing Unit for Quarantine Diagnosed Coronavirus Patients

King County has started work on temporary housing for people who may need to be quarantined because of exposure to coronavirus.

The county started moving in trailers Tuesday afternoon in the White Center neighborhood in the 200 block of southwest 112th Street. None of the neighbors in the area had a clue about the temporary housing and many were asking why was their neighborhood chosen.

Then, Concerns about a possible coronavirus outbreak are spurring changes at some local businesses and places where people congregate. Many gyms are stepping up what they do to make sure everything clean--especially since they could see hundreds of visitors every day.

Also, Public health officials continue to remind people not to show up to an emergency room unless they are experiencing a true emergency. If someone begins to develop symptoms, they are urged to contact their doctor first.

Lastly, Two school districts and more than a dozen schools have canceled classes over concerns of coronavirus in Washington. But some parents think local districts should be doing more to keep kids safe. At Mill Creek Elementary it’s was typical day for students, but not for the children who did not come to school.
