I use Keynote and Screenflow to create the videos. If you google "educational screencast" you should find a walkthrough I made that details my method. Thanks for watching.

Great Anderson. I am a lead inspector and auditor of schools. All your videos provide clear insight into a variety of science concpets.

Unfortunately my job as a science teacher makes it difficult to attend conferences or put on PD during the school year. I have a limited number of personal days during the year and I try to spend most of them with family. Hopefully the virtual version of me will suffice.

Lol -okay so I did laugh super loud when he said "basically 400 pages"... I love these videos and another great resource is the Bozeman site. Thanks for making this stuff! :)

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and understanding with everyone.  Your videos have been extremely helpful to me in my own growth and for my students.  I teach middle school, 8th grade science. and your videos are on my go to list. Thank you much

Wow, great Job Mr. Andersen, thank you for doing this, I am not an educator but volunteer my time in trying to get kids, inlcuding my own,  inspired in all things related to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics). I just started the process of trying to understand the NGSS and apply its concepts at home when conducting experiments with my children ages 7, 8 & 8. Your videos will help out tremendously and I am looking forward to seeing the rest of them. Many thanks from a parent and fellow human being.

I would love if you made a pass the CSET playlist for biology and chemistry. I am studying for the chemistry one right now and it is hard to find study material.

Yes Paul, I found this to be very helpful.  The NGSS makes some sense to me now.. It also filled in a lot of gaps in my understanding of science.

Hi Paul, So glad you love the NGSS and Framework too! And thanks for making a nice distinction between what will be covered in the Next Generation Science Standards and the Common Core State Standards. Very important.

I am an aspiring science teacher in a credentialing program now. This is great, thanks!

Another important feature of the crosscutting concepts is that they are transferable outside of science as well. E.g. Cause and Effect is clearly a concept that is not restricted to science.

Hi Paul. Your series is helpful for us teachers! So we are moving away from the ¨Scientific Method¨ and using the 8 practices instead?

Paul your videos are very clear and makes understanding them much easier. I've gone to several workshops on NGSS and came out a little confused in the end. I've only seen 3 of the videos so far, and intend to watch them all. NYS wants feedback (a survey) so they can make final recommendations to the board. I think will help me a lot to complete the survey. Thank you.

Paul: great video series. I admire the time, effort, and energy that you put into this project. I especially like how they are in bite-size chunks for teachers. One point of clarification: the Framework actually only has 13 disciplinary core ideas. The 44 ideas that you've identified in the series are actually "component ideas" of the the 13 core ideas...just trying to make sure there is consistency in language...

Hello good day! I'am a student from Philippines and we are studying about the design of science curriculum in US.
I have some questions if you don't mind?
first what are the benefits it can offer to your country?
and what are its advantages with comparison to the previous science curriculum
also, why do the government need to change the curriculum
Thank You very much
I'am hopping for your response
