Thread Painting Embroidery For Beginners [Leaf Tutorial]

I really appreciate this video cuz im working on my fourth embroidery right now and its for a gift. Therefore, I wanted to try to make it look more refined. So far im doing this correctly but your tips are very helpful and I appreciate the way you explain/ show it as well.

Doesnt help that its a portrait of a dog so im trying to imitate hair and trying to lay the stiches in the way the hair lays.
