This rendition reaches my deepest depths. My father passed in January 2023 and our choir sang this beautiful hymn. My dad loved his garden and I trust that is where he felt closest to Christ.

This was my Mom’s Nana’s favorite song, in turn MY Nana’s favorite then my Mom’s favorite, which in turn became one of my favorites. She passed before I was born but, I got her name as my middle name and one of her favorite songs as a part of me. I can still remember from the hymn sing we would do in church years and years ago, where the congregation would pick the songs, either me or my mom (most of the time it was me cause I wanted to say it 😅) would stand up and say “314, In the Garden” until I got a little older and I would let my mom say that one cause I always wanted “Lord of the Dance” ♥️

So incredibly beautiful! I want my kids to be exposed to hymns like I was growing up so as to have a great appreciation for them. A couple days a week I will put on hymns in the morning as I am doing my quiet times and kids are waking up and my 6 year old especially always asks to hear your version of them.
