i think its our subconscious desire to have something perfect, or done "right" in our perspective that makes you keep switching it, its that deep feeling of hope that it will stay there that keeps you flipping that switch

The noise created when peeling protective film off a sheet of acrylic is possibly the most satisfying sound on earth.

There's an innate symbolism of man vs. machine that lurks in the background and yet drives our ironic lust for this POS! Well done.

I need one. I can't live without it.

This reminds me of that switch in the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy
“Please do not press this button again “

it is so NOT useless. Hence this great video, my snorted laughter and me ordering one! LOL. Loved all of it. Thanks mate. Even for me as bystander this was very therapeutic.

I got this for my dad for Christmas 2014, it's yet to be topped. He's changed batteries a few times.
N.B. To maintain an element of mystery, remove the packaging and get rid of, or sharpie over any part of the instructions that give away the end product. They don't even know what they are building.

A fun office toy, better then those kinetic ball toys that was popular in the 80s / 90s (that was on the desks of every up-and-coming Yuppie).

I'd print out a little warning not to flip the switch to go on the door

1:19 What does he said? I understood the "thing-a-magic" and the "bag of gubbins" but I can't distinguish the word in the middle of both. I know it has no importance, but i'm learning this language and that expresion makes me curious. Thanks in advance

A suggestion for putting the screws into the tubes the first time: use a pair of vise-grip pliers to hold the tubes!

Flippin 'eck!

The machine flips the switch off by itself. Flippin 'eck!

10:50 -- So, "cheeky flipping thing" or not, part of me is reminded of Minecraft Logic here. It behaves a bit like a Button, sending a powered pulse for X ticks before turning off.

I saw one of these a few years back. . . . .it had a realistic looking human finger to make the switch.

Your kit looked a LOT better than ours. Ours was a mess. We got it together okay, some parts were broken so I had to super glue them. It doesn't look nearly as clean as yours. I don't know if they changed who makes these or if they are cutting corners or what, but again the quality of your kits and ours isn't even close.
