David Lewis's On the Plurality of Worlds - Chapter 3

Chapter 3 considers alternatives to Lewis's modal realism that share the basic features of his account but not his ontology. We pay special attention to linguistic ersatzism, Lewis's idea of circularity, and the question of whether properties can be specified by specifying their causal role.
