American Christians are facing uncertain times. We live in a society where the lines between right and wrong are becoming blurred. Drawing from recent news stories and compelling interviews with today's top conservative leaders---including Sarah Palin and Dr. Robert Jeffress---Starnes uses his satire-meets-serious writing style to shine a light on what is happening across the nation.

You have the right to beLIEve anything you like. That's part of our freedoms. You DON'T have the right to assert that beLIEf as factual, push that beLIEf on anyone else, display your beLIEf in a way that others find offensive, or use your beLIEf as an excuse to harm.
It's fairly easy to show you why your beLIEf is silly, illogical, and superstitious. Don't tempt me. I can even show you that you don't think a deity exists. The bottom line is this: It really doesn't matter what you beLIEve, as long as you keep it to yourself. The moment you start trying to assert your beLIEf as if it is fact, you will be ridiculed. We do this because we (the people) don't allow "Jesus made me do it" as a defense in court. We don't allow "Zuse said it was ok to be late to work" as an excuse. We don't allow "Quetzalcoatl allowed the prisoners to be released, he was just using my form" as a defense. THERE IS GOOD REASON FOR THIS. Rationality makes you responsible for your actions and inactions. Blaming a deity is simply not going to cut it.
