Sorry to debunk your theory, but I don't think Darwin's death is plan by Carrie. In Aislep's TAFOG AU story "El asesinato", it show the whole event of Darwin's death, which you can read in Wattpad.
In the story, When Gumball sneak into Carrie's house tried to find the turning ghost potion, Darwin was gone out with Carrie and her family (so Gumball can have a chance to steal the potion which Carrie said it's too dangerous to use), and when Gumball accidentally knock himself out due to the spiders and insecticide, it said there are some footsteps can be heard went near to Gumball. So whoever that person might be, it definitely not Carrie, because you doesn't have foot.
