In the early 1920's my grandmother stayed on a familiy farm in the Pietersburg area, A large locust swarm destroyed all the crops and gf with mopani worms. The stock on the farm were badly off too. This was a lesson she taught us that one should never wast food.

Interesting. I looked up SADAC to see if I could find anything recent mentioning this and hit a blank. What support do you have as a farmer, and as a region, to deal with this? We knew it was headed our way for the last two years, we saw the spread from Arabia, East to India and West to Africa, then south... There should have been some plan...
