The metaverse has become a hot discussion topic. According to Citibank, the metaverse represents a potential $8 trillion to $13 trillion opportunity by 2030, which could boast as many as 5 billion users.
Why all the hype? What is the metaverse and why should we care? Although there does not seem to be a clear consensus on a definition, Mark Zuckerberg describes it as the successor to the mobile internet. An immerse internet, where you’re in the experience and not just looking at it.
As with any invention or innovation, the metaverse will likely influence all aspects of life in the years ahead.
There will also be great opportunities for organizations in the metaverse for product placement and advertisement, virtual events, hosting services, NFT’s sales services, real estate opportunities, metaverse services & hardware and much more.
