Buy Now or Best Offer - Why and How to Activate.

Make Offer or Buy Now, this is a sales setting many are torn between, sometimes you might not know if you are using the right setting. It could be that you have already listed your domain for sale as make offer and buy now at some stage in its selling history and now you are just interested in trying out a different sale setting. Well you will be happy to know, that you can list your domain with a fixed price and a best offer sales settings at the same time, if you want to learn more about this then stay tuned.

You can set up the Buy Now or Best Offer function in your account so that you can receive one time offers from potential buyers on domains you have listed with a fixed price, just note that it is not a negotiation. If you receive a best offer from a potential buyer, then you can not negotiate back and fourth from that offer directly with the seller like a conventional Make Offer listing. If a best offer is received, then you will get a notification via email, you then have 7 days to consider accepting the offer, after 7 days, the best offer expires.

A potential buyer would find your domain in the search results and clicks on the Buy Now button and then this is basically how your listing will look to the buyer. They can see the option to either pay the fixed price or click best offer where they can make a one time offer.

The advantages of Buy Now or Best Offer is that you get best of both worlds, you can target buyers who want to purchase the domain for the fixed price these are the buyers who don’t want to wait on sending offers and mess around. But it also opens up the possibility that buyers can make you a one time best offer and still get the feeling of negotiation a lower price than the listed one. Another benefit from having your domain set as Buy Now or Best Offer is that if you park the domain and it sells with this price setting, then the commission fee is reduced from 15% to 10% of the sales price. Combine all this with Sedos Sales lander and SedosMLS Premium to optimise the sales potential of your domain. Just note that sales made via the SedoMLS channel are charged with a commission of 20% of the sales price.

If you select this option in your account then the setting will apply to every domain that you add to your Sedo account or domains listed at a certain price range which you will need to select in the 'best offer' function. You can not apply the setting to individual domains in your account.

select Account Settings
under the Sales Settings part select and tick the box which says 'I want to accept offers on my Buy Now listings' This will apply the setting to all Buy Now domains in your account.

You can apply this setting to all the domains in your portfolio or domains in a certain price range, which you can select here. Then there are other settings where you can automatically reject offers that are to low and you can use a percentage of the current Buy Now Price as your minimum offer

select your required settings and hit the green button 'save changes'
