SOLIDWORKS PDM Tutorial - Creating a Backup Maintenance Plan

In this video I will be showing how to create a backup maintenance plan using SQL Management Studio. A maintenance is used to automate backups of the database used for SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional. This video is for SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional only – not for SOLIDWORKS PDM Standard. This is because the full version of SQL has the capacity to create maintenance while the free version of SQL – which is what SOLIDWORKS PDM Standard uses – does not. The initial maintenance plan is created using the “Maintenance Plan Wizard” but then we modify the plan to include a clean up section for maintenance plan reports.
