The creativity that went into these puppets and early MST3K was so top-notch. As a kid watching this show back in the 90s I didn't even realize they were puppets! They were so lively!

Tom Servo, in both this particular design and as voiced by Kevin Murphy, is my favorite version of him! The newer seasons are fun though. But there was a distinct charm of the season 8 and 9 episodes that are SO GOOD

Maybe I am just overly weird, but to my eyes (and mind) Tom Servo's head and mouth remind me of a cardinal (bird). There's a cardinal that visits my bird feeder every day. I named that bird, "Tom Servo."
