DCS World | MiG-21Bis Intercept Mission | Gameplay Video

Hi all!
Join me on a quick intercept mission I put together in DCS 2.5.6. Here we intercept multiple F/A-18C Hornets on a mission to destroy the airbase's SAM defenses. I manage to shoot down two of them before they head home.

The real thing happened in 2003, when MiG-21s tried to intercept USN F-18s. The result was one Mig-21 destroyed head-on from 3 miles with an AIM-7. F-18s had the advantage of AEW.

While I would normally relish a good Mig-21 video, I've got to be honest, it looked as though the Hornets were asleep at the stick. They seemed to have no interest in responding or retaliating to the threat they faced.

Thanks for sharing. What mission are you flying here? I am just starting out and need something like this mission to get a feel. And I am loving the Fishbed by the way.
