I love how simple this solution is.
And I love that it took a perfectionist to become reality.
(it does look like the original design intended for a bearing, though... and that it was - perhaps - shaved from the budget)

Did Mr. Reed work on the design of this plane as well?

I have a few Jorgensen planes and the ones with that type adjuster and it doesn't have any play or slop, but I would definitely like to get a couple to make micro adjustments easier

That is why I like Veritas planes. About 2/3 the cost of Lie Nielsen and has no slop because of set screws.
