E2: University of Toronto's David Duvenaud on the Future of AI & Academia

Before he became an Assistant Professor of machine learning at the University of Toronto, David Duvenaud spent time working at Cambridge, Oxford and Google Brain.

He's done groundbreaking work on neural ODEs, and has been at the cutting edge of the field for most of the last decade.

David sat down with us to talk about where machine learning is heading, and how academic careers are made.
