Where it's not possible to install traditional bottom-fixed turbines, floating wind turbines come in, capturing higher and steadier wind speeds farther out at sea. Subscribe for more content like this!

While so many other countries proceed with renewables... we have governments and industries that mostly sit around and argue. It is depressing.

If I were making a floating turbine I'd have the anchor be a wave generator. It would double as a damper to soften the movements. Fun times.

What is the standard consumption of a household in this calculation?

I do actually like the idea of Floating turbines. The foundation is less rigid, and the should reduce the bending loads on the tower, since the turbine is able to move with the wind. I do have some concerns with the ankering, they have to last for years, and if one turbine gets loos it could drift into other turbines or something else. Would probably be very dangers. Also the sea cables might be complicated, and they should also last a long time.
You don't what to service a floating turbine if you can avoid it.
Also ships and floating containers might run into them, that could also be a very dangurs accident.
And for now they are very expensive compared to on shore wind, thus it might not be worth it, if there is good locations on shore.

Have you heard of indiscriminate killing of birds that we as humans would be fined if we even touched?
