Finally, people are catching up.

You don’t need to do 10-16 sets in a session for a muscle group. A solid 4-8 hard working sets is all you need when you train with good form and high intensity.

But remember, it’s all about getting blood to the muscle. 1-4 reps your going to be hard pressed to get a pump. High intensity should be the 5-8 range.

You don’t have to do just one exercise to failure! The issue with those straight sets was that they probably weren’t close to failure, not the volume. If you train close to failure, you’ll probably end up doing fewer sets, but you can still hit several intense sets for a single muscle group. Personally I can get like ~8 sets for back, ~6 sets for chest, ~4 sets for bis, ~6 sets for tris and so on (on different days obv). Point is you can come close to failure many times in a session and still recover
