MJs feet bled because the shoes were to small and he was playing in the NBA so he built up more friction then a normal person playing basketball

His feet bled because he was used to the newer models and it was a shock to his feet to go back. He previously played a lot in the first Jordans they were hir real signature shoes after all and he played fine.

As someone who wore Jordan’s here and there for recreational volleyball, they’re like glamourized converse. They are comfy, as long as you don’t get them too big. Overall, I’d give it a 6.8/10 to play in.

He used to play in them and his feet were used to them. As he got older his shoes started becoming softer and more comfortable. But he decided to go back and used a shoe that was very tough and not comfortable before his feet were used to them. AJ 1s are still really good to play in if you can deal with the thin soles and the pain of creasing them.

It’s because the shoes were small on him, while he was used to play in the 13s which were built for more comfort while the 1s were not. And his feet were not as aware to that environment. And while he was young he wore the 1s all the time and was fine because he was used to wearing them.

Just walking in these for a long period of time made my feet feel like they was walking on needles

Air Jordan 1s now are (of course) more modified now than the first ever pair made and the ones MJ wore. Yes, it’s not a revolutionary change but noticeable. I honestly think you can hoop in Air Jordan 1s but they had to of been broken in prior to that. I have a pair of max aura 2s and they have more cushioning and traction than my AJ1s. AJ1s are definitely leaning more to design than actual hooping shoes.

My favorite jordan model to ball in is the Jordan 8. Best basketball shoe of all time in my opinion

I think they are great for court. It actually lets you feel the court under your feet. Air, is just a gimmick. To each their own though. But yeah, you have to break them in really good. I prefer the nubuck/suede ones as they are softer and easier to break in, rather than firm leather ones.

His feet bled because this was his last season. During the whole season he wore the jordan 13. This shoe is much more comfortable and has softer materials in them. When your feet are in such shoes for a whole season and then you suddenly get inside a little stiffer shoe your feet will begin to bleed. But when he played in them the first season there was nothing that had to do with a foot injury or something.

Inside the rubber midsole is actually some cushioning that encapsulates the air unit. I think it’s either Phylon or Polyurethane, or some other form of cushion. Though very thin, at least it isn’t entirely rubber. It just looks like the whole midsole is rubber from the outside.
