Market cap is not the same thing for how rich a company is.

How rich a company is, is the cash, net cash or net assets. You have to check the balance sheet for that.

Market cap = number of shares x price per share. So if there are 1 trillion shares and I buy ONE of these shares for 3 dollar, the market cap is 3 trillion dollar. That's not the same thing as how rich the company is.
