resampling on the MPC60 and SP1200 (comparison)

usually, i chose a main resample sampler for a beat.. like: this will be a SP1200 beat.. that an MPC60 beat..
depending on the sample or the mood i‘m going for.. if there are a lot of samples or long samples, i combine samplers or do a beat in 2 parts.. but atm i‘m testing different parameters of a resample daisy-chains: vinyl to Akai MPC2500, where i trim the chops and then pitch them up, then either straight to MPC60 or rather to the E-mu SP1200 (if i‘m looking for some crunch or as in this case: to regain some highs in the otherwise muffled sounding sample).. the latter is a method i‘ve first seen in a Wask Audio youtube video.. i‘m still not content with all parameters and will run some more tests, but overall this could be a good combo.. not recommended for the impatient heads, though 😂

i find it fascinating to resample in order to achieve similar results as eq-ing or filters.. but that might be just me 🤓

full disclosure: what you hear in the video is the audio recorded by my iphone mixed with a line signal from the board/interface (MPC2500 and SP1200 go into the Soundcraft Signature 22MTK, the MPC60 goes into the Tascam M216).

The mp sounds louder and deeper but the sp is more crispier
