He recognizes the innocence in children. Also, notice he steps quietly so not to scare them. Look how he smiles for the children!

The difference is...the last people werent TOUCHING HIM. Give these men their space. They are on duty. Have some respect

He’s on duty ffs.
And he’s not a prop or a mannequin.

I watched an interview with Peter about his shuffling over closer to the kid so.he too could be in the photo. P, eter got 4 hours of extra duty for breaking protocol for this one act of kindness. I believe Peter Ellis was a great guard & horseman. He always favored kids & disabled people. Sometimes depending on which horse he had he'd move his horse closer to the child or disabled people.
The last I heard he has a new job working with horses. I know many of his fans loved him and were disappointed when he retired from the service. What a kind yet professional this kind hearted man is. Wishing him all the best for him & his wife. Hope he posts a personal account of his life now on YouTube. ❤️ & Respect for this young man. Princess Di would have approved of him. 😊

I love these guards. What they do is amazing. Staying still all day, rude people, bad weather. No matter what, they're always professional. Im so proud to be represented by them. Oh, Canada.❤

Yes, respect and humility. The horses recognize this as well.

The Kings Guard will always try to Appease and allow Children and the Handicapped to get Closer for picture's and a Smile but demand Stricked Respect from Adults. They Have Extremely Good Heart's but they also have an Extremely important Job. Just like American Soldiers in the Honor Guard and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. People should Appreciate and Respect them for what they do. These Aren't Easy Jobs and they work Very Hard to Represent their Countries in a Spectacular Fasion. I know, My Son was in Americas Honor Guard and I Saw How Hard He Worked and what Sacrifices He Made to Represent America Well. I'm Very Proud of All of these Young Men and I Respect Them Immensely.

All the kids were a distance away. Those removed were almost physically touching. Even the kids understood personal space.❤

When you respect the guard, they return the respect! It’s in us all to give.

He was scooting over to get into that picture of that kid with his grandma that's so sweet. Obviously they have a thing for letting kids get something good and they can tell when someone's respectful and when someone isn't. They deserve respect just like everybody else and space.

These men are WORKING. They’re not a statue or bench that you can get all up in their personal space.
