Forging Resilience to Beijing's Information Influence: The View from Asia
Показать описание
Over the past decade, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its proxies have expanded their global media footprint, while using more sophisticated and coercive tactics to shape media narratives and suppress critical reporting. Given their proximity to China, countries in Asia face particularly intense and complex information influence efforts from Beijing. Yet even as the Chinese government's aggressiveness has increased so too have initiatives among journalists and civil society to detect, deflect, and build resilience to these campaigns. Freedom House, Radio Free Asia, and the Atlantic Council held a discussion on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s global media footprint and its influence across Asia.
