I still get asked all the time about my tune and how the process is and with the new 2022 WRX hitting the market and tuning options on the horizon for the new fa24 platform I figured I would just make a video explaining the whole E tuning process for you guys! I bought a used 2018 wrx.but when I install the accessport, it says it’s been tune already.but I don’t have the accessport with it.can I tune it again with another accessport?

Great informative video! What is your suggestion for handling scenarios where a check engine light may be due to a etune and general check up (details below)


I did my first etune and it did not go too well, check engine light came on and he did not provide much communication or suggestions. Though a fair argument was that he can't troubleshooting without being in person...

So how would you recommend handling getting your car serviced/troubleshooting in case you run into issues while etuning?

Is the etuner capable of diagnosing similar with data logging or is it up to me to find a nearby 3rd party subaru shop (incase my warranty was to he voided now due to modding).

Great video! A lot of good info here. I have a question, if I get a GESI downpipe, exhaust, intake and tune, will I have to have a check engine light due to the new Cobb greenspeed stuff?

Hey can you do a video about tuning options for the FA20/24 motors going forward because COBB isn’t really an option anymore. There’s tons of info on this subject for EJ platform but I haven’t seen much for the FA.

Isn’t an e tune a guess? Unless it’s done on a dyno with proper afr and knock sensors, it’s a bit of a wild Stab in the dark? Sure some e-tunes will produce better than stock results but can you really be sure of no knock? No leaning out in the top end? Even same cars can have variables in them stock
