God has NOT forsaken Israel: Romans 11:1-6

After establishing that prophecy indicated Messiah would be rejected and that the Gentiles would come to believe in Yahweh through Him(in Romans 9 and 10) we come to the issue of Israel and their current relationship with God. The question is, "has God forsaken Israel?" And the answer is a big "no way!"
Not only does this truth give hope for Israel, it gives us courage and hope in God's patient love for all who come to Him through the grace of Christ. In this study we will also take a look at 1 Kings 19 and hear a word of encouragement about facing discouragement from what Elijah went through.

Listening this in 2021 the craziest season of our history. It's comforting to know that God has a plan always, He's at work

That was a very powerful teaching Mike. You really made the story of Elijah come to life for me. I had never really connected that fact that God 'took' him because he wanted out!! That really shows the incredible love and compassion of Yahweh. Very beautiful.😊

This was such a timely message. Oh man! I've been so discouraged. I see God's sovereignty and holiness and also his grace and love toward those who are discouraged and depressed. Wow!

"As far as the gospel is concerned, they (Israel) are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, 29 for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable." (Romans 11)

This is such an important concept. I always have had respect for Israel and Israelites.

Praise the Lord for your understanding of Scripture. Be encouraged in the Lord and I pray that you'll grow in the love and knowledge of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour.

This was so encouraging and convicting - trusting God even when we are overwhelmed in the midst of our calling. Thank you Mike!

I kind want to peak behind the curtain of the spiritual realm when Elijah was challenging the priests of Baal. Also, listening the day after the horrible school shooting in TX. What encouragement God's word is!

Listening to this in 2023 (Nisan 11, 5783). This is an excellent message that my SDA family need to hear.

This message is beautifully presented; the best presentation I have ever experienced. No shouting, it's brought forth with, knowledge, understanding, wisdom and a calm composure. Thank you my brother.

Whoa. When you said that God said to Elijah, "You think you're the only one who follows me? There are 7000 men just like you in your own backyard." That humbled even me! - can't imagine how Elijah's jaw must have dropped.

Psalm 121 1

My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
32:22 needs to be a clip! So encouraging!

Odd in Roman's there are two different types of Israel spoken of. The physical and the spiritual.
If God is not a respecter of person, and each individual is responsible for their own salvation, then a physical nation is NOT the people of God. Which also makes sense if you apply Jesus Christ to Israel. No one comes to the father except through Jesus.
They Physical nation rejected Christ therefore they do not have the father! Which points back to Israel is a spiritual people of God!!

So many "Christians" ignoring the scriptures and spouting anti-semitic jargon

I have appreciated Mike Wingers honest and exhaustive research on God's Word. I like that he is not biased and usually realizes that not all doctrines need to be dogmatic. Tulip/Calvin might have some points but also has flaws or wrong doctrine. I am even more encouraged today because he did take a stand and separated the truth from myth. Taco Bell is not authentic Mexican food, it is one or the other. Replacement theology is wrong. Prosperity movement is wrong. Thank you Mike, for not compromising even when many people can be offended. :)
