First time I heard this was on a San Jose (CA) radio station in 1994. They played standards and some classic country. (This song was included, as well as, "Nadia's Theme.") (All of that made me feel like an angel. Too bad the station changed four years later.) Anyway, I thought this song was about figure skater Katarina Witt. I learned the spelling of her first name and this song title was different, but that's alright.
